Our School
Nirmala High School, Vijayawada came into being in the year 1963 in order to satisfy the demands of the people of Vijayawada, with a strength of 196 students on its roll from KG to Std.III. The school was upgraded in 1966 and the first batch of 10th Class students took their exams in March 1972. In 1980 the school was accorded permanent recognition and the school follows the A.P. State syllabus. It is a recognized, minority, private and an un-aided institution
School Building
At present there are 60 classrooms functioning for L.K.G to X. There are four blocks for High School, Upper Primary, Primary and Nursery along with the Principal’s office. Administrative office, Library, Science Labs and 4 staff rooms.The Nursery block has two divisions for LKG and UKG classes, Play room and a park attach to it.
Affiliation and Curriculum
The School is affiliated to the Indian Council of Secondary Education which is controlled by the Government of India. The course and syllabi are patterned on the lines of Cambridge Senior examination. Our results have been consistently excellent for the last 25 years. The examination prepares the students for independent thinking, enabling them to face All Indian Competitive Examinations confidently.
The examination is administered by the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination, New Delhi. A candidate is required to appear for seven subjects. This examination pre-supposes a school course of ten years duration. Candidates of Indian Nationality must offer an Indian language as a second language which is duly approved by the Council. A pass in the English Language is compulsory to enable the candidate to appear for the Plus Two ISC examination. A Pass Certificate and a statement of Mark will be issued to all successful candidates. The compulsory papers will only be English, a second Language, History & Civics, Geography. Project work is given in all the subjects and the weightage for the same is 20%.
